Spice up Your Halloween with Apple Cider Sangria

This time of year calls for all things apple-y, cinnamon-y, spicy and sweet!  Sangria isn’t only meant for spring and summer!  Sweet wine fans will love this delicious medley of apples, pears, and ginger brought to you by howsweeteats.com.  Sure to impress your friends at any Halloween or Fall-themed event.

What You Will Needretry at sangria

  • 1 bottle (standard size) of pinot grigio
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider
  • 1 cup club soda
  • 1/2 cup ginger brandy (regular brandy is fine)
  • 3 honey crisp apples, chopped
  • 3 pears, chopped

What You May Want

Substitute club soda with ginger beer

Orange or orange slices-squeeze juice in to give it a little citrus

Cinnamon sticks as garnish or hemp bows tied around the stem of your wine glasses for entertaining

What To Do

Cut up apples & pears and add to large punch bowl or pitcher.

Combine the rest of the essential ingredients into large bowl or pitcher. Stir fervently.retry at sangria 2

Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
