4 Easy Ways To Freshen Up For The New Year

12 February 2013 | By

After the Holidays are over, I suddenly feel like I have a little bit of extra energy.  Either that or the holidays just left my house and a few odds and ends extremely neglected.  This past weekend I found myself taking on a few small projects.  I think I just want to start fresh along with the New Year.

Lemon Rosemary Vanilla Home Deodorizer

DIY Teeth Whitener

  • Toothpaste
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp hydrogen peroxide
  • ½  water
  • Sealable container

Take 1 part toothpaste, 1 part baking soda, 1 part hydrogen peroxide and mix in a seal-able container.  Mix and put on toothbrush.  Add water to brush head and brush teeth!  Use 1-2 times a week, and only once a month after you’ve achieved results you want.

Shower Head Cleaner

    • Ziplock bag
    • Rubber band/twisty tie
    • 1/3 cup baking soda
    • 1 cup white vinegar

Mix baking soda and vinegar and tie up on shower head.  Let sit for many hours or overnight.  You can take a brush or sponge to it after you are done if you’d like.

Hair Clarifier

  • 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 quart distilled water
  • Spray bottle/container

Mix cider with water and put in a spray bottle or container you can keep in the shower.  Shampoo your hair as usual, then spray in and leave for about a minute.  Rinse with cold water to make extra shiny.
