Easy Chocolate Ganache Brownies

Chocolate Ganache Brownies

For all you chocolate lovers out there.  If these Chocolate Ganache Brownies don’t satisfy your chocolate cravings then nothing will.  These are so outrageous and contain almost 3 pounds of chocolate in them.  I just love the gooey ganache icing.  Treat your family and friends to this little delight for desert and you are sure to put a smile on their faces.





1 pound unsalted butter

1 16 ounce package plus one 12 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips

6 ounces unsweetened chocolate

6 extra large eggs*

1 1 /2 Tablespoons instant coffee granules

2 Tablespoons pure vanillal

2 1/4 cups sugar

1 1/4 cups flour

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1 Teaspoon salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Prepare a 12 x 18 x1 inch baking sheet with butter and flour.

Melt together the butter, 1 pound of chocolate chips, and the 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate chips in a medium bowl in the microwave (using 15-20 second intervals until melted)  You can also use a double boiler.  Allow to cool slightly.  In a large bowl, stir (do not beat) together the eggs, coffee granules, vanilla and sugar.  Stir the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature.

In a medium bowl , sift together 2 cups of flour, baking powder and salt. Add the cooled chocolate.  Toss the remaining 1/4 cup flour and 12 ounces of chocolate chips in a medium bowl and add to the batter.  Pour into the baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes.  Tap the baking sheet against the oven shelf to force the air bubbles out between the pan and the dough.  Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Try not to over bake.  Cool slightly.

Ganache Frosting

9 Ounces Semisweet chocolate

1 Cup whipping cream

2 Tablespoons butter

Place the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.  Whisk until thoroughly melted.  Pour over the cooled brownies.  Let sit for about one hour until set or place in the refrigerator to speed the setting.  Cut, serve and enjoy.

*For best results use the recommended egg size always in your recipes.
