Homemade Lipstick Made from Crayons

crayonsIt may sound weird… but yes, you can make your own homemade lipstick. Just as long as you have a box of crayons!

Now, this probably won’t appeal to an adult who is used to buying lipsticks from MAC or a nice drugstore brand like Revlon, but to a little girl who is just starting to discover makeup, these crayon lippies will be just as good as any $16-a-tube lipstick.

And think of all the shades you could make!

Here’s what you’ll need:

-1 Crayola crayon (any color)
-1 teaspoon coconut oil
-1 teaspoon petroleum jelly
-1/4 teaspoon honey
-1/8 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

Unwrap your crayon and break it up into little pieces. Then, place all your ingredients in a bowl.

Next, place your bowl on a pot of boiling water to “double boil” your ingredients. When everything has melted together, pour your new liquid lipstick into a small container.

Let it cool and solidify before using.
