Homemade Cork Board with Wine Corks

corkHere’s┬ásomething you can do to make use of all those wine corks you have lying around from enjoying wine every night (don’t worry, no judgment!) with your favorite steak dinner–make your own homemade cork board!

Here’s what you’ll need:

-a large picture frame
-glue gun and glue sticks
-a whole bunch of wine corks

First, remove the glass from the picture frame, leaving only the backboard. Next, figure out what pattern you’d like to use for your cork board–this is the trickiest part, since wine corks usually come in different sizes. You will also need to figure out how many you’ll need to fill up the frame.

Once you’ve chosen a pattern, it’s time to get started! Squeeze some glue onto the back of each cork and press firmly into the backboard of your picture frame for a few seconds. Keep doing this until you’ve filled the entire frame with corks according to your chosen pattern.

Finally, turn your board over to see if any corks come loose. If any of them do, just re-glue them to the backboard.

And you’re done!
