DIY Geometric Dresser

geometricNobody likes plain, boring furniture–unless you’re into that minimalist style, of course. But if your home is starved for some color and personality, liven up an otherwise plain piece of furniture–like a dresser, for instance–by painting a geometric pattern on it.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-a sponge cut in the shape of a triangle
-a plate (for the paint)
-Mod Podge
-small paintbrush

Pour some paint onto your plate, dip your sponge firmly into it (make sure to coat the entire surface of one face of the sponge) and press onto the surface of your furniture to create your pattern.

Because you used a sponge, the triangles will be faint and filled with holes, so once you’re done, go over each triangle again with a paintbrush dipped in the same paint to make them more opaque and even.

When all the triangles have been filled in, coat the entire surface with Mod Podge.

And you’re done!
