Chocolate Peppermint Bark

peppermint-bark‘Tis the season to indulge in chocolate. Or better yet, chocolate and peppermint!

In the mood for some Peppermint Bark?

Here’s what you’ll need:

-12 ounces white chocolate
-12 ounces dark chocolate
-1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy
-1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract


Melt your white chocolate and dark chocolate separately–you could either use a double boiler or the microwave. Next, line a 9×12 pan with parchment paper.

Pour the dark chocolate into the pan, and spread until it is evenly distributed. Allow to set for about 5 minutes in the refrigerator. When that’s done, mix your peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate, then pour over the dark chocolate layer–again, spread evenly.

Top with crushed peppermint candies (either process in a blender or crush with a meat mallet) and pop back in the refrigerator to harden.
