These homemade peppermint soaps would also make great gifts for your friends!

Here’s what you’ll need:

-1/2 pound shea butter soap base
-peppermint essential oil
-red soap colorant
-soap mold

Cut up your shea butter soap base into chunks and place in a microwave-safe container. Pop into the microwave and melt in 30-second increments. Once your soap base has melted, add 6-10 drops of peppermint essential oil (add more or less depending on how strong you want the smell to be) and mix well.

Pour your melted soap base into the soap mold, then add some drops of red soap colorant on the surface of your soap. Use a toothpick to swirl the red color into the white soap base.

Set aside and allow to cool before removing soap from the mold.
