Avocado Hummus Dip

avocado-hummusHummus is well known as a delicious and healthy dip. But if you’re tired of the usual hummus, why not give it a little twist by using avocado? Yes, you read that right. Avocado.

Not only is the avocado extremely versatile, it also provides healthy fats (which are good for you) to your diet.

 

Here’s what you’ll need:

-1.5 large ripe, soft avocado
-15oz (1 can) chickpeasĀ drained
-1 garlic clove
-1.5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-1/2 tbsp cumin
-juice from 1 lime
-sea salt

Blend chickpeas and garlic in a food processor until finely chopped. Next, add olive oil and lime juice and blend some more.

Finally, add cumin and chopped pieces of your avocado, and blend until smooth and creamy.

Add sea salt to taste.

Enjoy!
