Homemade Taco Seasoning

homemade taco seasoningIf your family loves Mexican food, taco seasoning is probably a staple at your house. Unfortunately, if you still rely on those pre-packaged taco seasonings you find in grocery stores, which are usually loaded with plenty of sodium and various other questionable ingredients, this is probably not the healthiest thing for you and your family to be consuming in copious amounts.

So what’s the solution? Just make your own! It’s super easy.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-4 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 2 teaspoons paprika
– 2 tablespoons ground cumin
– 3 teaspoons sea salt
– 1 teaspoon coriander

Mix all the ingredients well and store in an airtight container. For a milder version, lessen the chili powder and cayenne pepper, to taste. To make it more spicy, just add more cayenne.

Told you it was easy!
