burlap canvas wall artBare walls aren’t cute! If you’re looking for quick, easy and inexpensive ways to brighten up your walls, here’s a DIY Burlap Canvas Wall Art tutorial for you.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-canvas
-burlap fabric
-hot glue gun
-scissors
-paint (optional)

Place your burlap fabric on the floor, or any flat surface, then place your canvas on top and draw an outline around it. Make sure that the outline is 2-3 inches larger (on all sides) than the canvas.

Cut the fabric along the outline, then take that piece of fabric and lay it flat once more on your flat surface–but make sure that it’s wrinkle-free by steaming or ironing it (while damp) first. Place your canvas on top of the burlap fabric wrong side up.

Fold the excess fabric onto the back of the canvas and glue in place with a few dots from your hot glue gun. Do it one side at a time.

When you’re done, allow the glue to dry first before decorating your new burlap-wrapped canvas. You can paint on it, glue some colorful buttons or ribbons on it, anything you wish!
