Healthy Homemade Fruit Leathers

homemade fruit leatherFruit Roll-Ups are super delicious–not to mention incredibly addictive. However, they aren’t particularly nutritious. But the good news is, it’s actually possible to make your own healthy homemade fruit leathers (which is basically what Fruit Roll-Ups are) with all-natural ingredients.

Intrigued? Here’s what you’ll need:

-strawberries and raspberries, or your fruit of choice
-sweetener of choice (preferably healthier sugar options like stevia, coconut sugar, honey, or maple syrup)

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pre-heat your oven to its lowest temperature. Next, throw all your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour your blended fruit onto the parchment paper and spread it all over the paper–try to spread the mixture as thin as possible.

Pop the baking sheet into your oven and bake for two to six hours, or until the fruit mixture is completely dried up.

When done, allow the whole thing to cool, then use a knife or a pair of scissors to cut your sheet of fruit leather (you can choose to peel off the parchment paper if you wish) into 1-inch strips.

Roll them up and enjoy!
